The following table compares the 2D Virtual Wind Tunnel run times of the Airfoil.stp and Bullet.stp setups on an HP Pavilion desktop computer with an Intel Q6600 2.40 GHz Quad Core CPU and 6 GB DDR3, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 1.62 GHz GPU with 96 CUDA Cores and 1 GB GDDR5. Both setup files are included in the software installation for the Edu and Pro edition. The low-cost GPU outperforms the Quad Core CPU by an average factor of eight.
